AP Archive Voted 'Footage Library of the Year'

AP Archive
AP Archive, the archive footage business of the Associated Press, has won the award for 'Footage Library of the Year' at the FOCAL (Federation of Commercial Audiovisual Libraries) International Awards 2008.

The award was voted for by members of FOCAL, and recognises the ongoing commitment by AP Archive to provide its clients with unrivalled footage at competitive prices, along with a personalised and efficient service. The awards took place in London on 21 May 2008 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, and were hosted by Lord Puttnam, Focal International's Chair of Patrons.

Alwyn Lindsey, who heads up AP Archive, said "This award is extremely flattering because it’s given by the customers and it's an endorsement of our people-based approach to the footage business. This follows on from a great year in 2007, which saw AP Archive win an exclusive worldwide deal to manage the archive footage sales business of Sky News, as well as launching a new digitised website."
