Associated Press currently has a vacancy for a Videojournalist based in our offices in Beijing.

The Associated Press is one of the world's largest and most trusted sources of independent news and information. Its video business has bureaux in more than 80 countries and currently distributes global news, sport, entertainment, technology and lifestyles content to broadcast, online and mobile platforms. Video captured by AP can be seen by more than half of the world’s population on any given day.

AP is looking for a highly motivated and creative Videojournalist with a proven track record in generating original television to deliver compelling and topical content.

The Videojournalist will plan and produce Lifestyles, Health and Technology features for the premium product, Horizons.

Candidates must have a passion for international current affairs, be a strong ideas' generator and good communicator, as well as having a clear understanding of broadcasters' and digital customers' needs.

Knowledge and experience:

* Demonstrated ability in video story-telling.
* Experience in desk and field producing.
* The ability to edit video in both linear and non-linear formats.
* The ability to write in English to broadcast and digital standards.
* The ability to operate a video camera in a newsgathering role.
* Fluency in written and spoken English and in written and spoken Mandarin required. Additional Asian languages an asset.
