AP Television News is upgrading all of its video output to 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
The two key dates for this switch from the current 4:3 format to 16:9 widescreen are:
- Wednesday, 10 November 2010 - All broadcast video switches to 16:9 - including all AP and SNTV content delivered via AP's satellite network, the Global Video Wire (GVW), APTN Direct and AP Media Port. Please note this switchover date also applies to online video content delivered on APTNvideo.net.
- Wednesday, 17 November 2010 - All online video switches to 16:9 - including all AP and SNTV content, and online video products such as International Select Raw and Wraps.
